CHILD ABUSE ON THE MINORS

Child Abuse is one of the ills affecting children especially the Girl-Child. All over the world, cases has been reported in different angle. its everywhere, no nation is innocent of this. it has been a regular news and some people see it as usual, But do we have to fold our arms and allow these children suffer in circumstances they found themselves?

Miss juvenile says no to all forms of child abuse and we'll continue to fight against this ill.
Our Blog readers, why not join us, lets fight,help,report cases and sensitize people on the need to stop this ugly ills affecting the juveniles, related to child trafficking,rape, early marriage, kidnapping, sex slavery, incest, prostitution, female genital mutilation, child neglect, child labour and lots more...

Recently, N.O.A inaugurated child protection network in 10 LGS in Lagos because of the perverse rising cases of child abuse in the country as reported by Shittu David. A civil group, CHILD PROTECTION NETWORK, an affiliate of the National Orientation Agency in conjunction with UNICEF inaugurated a committee of  child protection network to protect children in 10 Local Government in Lagos state.
The rate at which juveniles are abused is alarming in our society, will the future of this juveniles be neglected considering their purpose in life?

JUVENILES BACK TO SCHOOL ?

As the New year unfolds,lots of Children will be going back to school or probably must have  

resumed . As much as have resumed,is as much as the ones staying at home,market places,slums and ghettos because there is no one to care for them or help them with their education.They may be hawking,doing house chores,begging for food and clothing,roaming about in streets and in market places.

It is important for all to know that the future of these children is important.We all should save-guard these children and secure a future for them..In as much as we are telling governments and NGO's to assist,we as an individual should encourage and assist the Juveniles with their education.

DAYSTAR CHRISTIAN CENTRE- HELPING THE POOR

On December, 20th 2014, DayStar Christian Centre gave out Gifts and other valuables items to the needy.This task was carried out by the Benovolence department of the Church.
Information gathered that this kind gesture has been done severally,year in and year out.
So how about you? Give out to the needy and share your love this Xmas season.

WHAT DOES XMAS HOLD FOR THE LESS PRIVILEGED CHILDREN?

Hello everyone,on my juvenile circle today, my question is ‘what does Xmas hold for the less privileged kids? And what have you got for them?

XMAS! XMAS! XMAS!

Hmm mm…..Sometimes, I do wonder why people are not born equal,have equal rights and enjoy equal opportunity and wealth.while some are crying others are laughing and having fun.The answer to this scenario is still far-fetched..Today nobody has been able to provide answer to this.

Yes! Xmas has come again,Fun and excitement everywhere and to crown it all Children are the ones who crave and long for Xmas.To them,they wish the fun would never come to an end.To some kids all what they ask for is always provided,they are enriched with good food, good clothes and are taken to fun fairs.OTHERS are living in abject poverty,living and feeding under the bridges,slums and ghettos looking for what to eat, how to survive, hoping and waiting for their messiah to come. some others are lying on hospital  beds seeking for help.While some others do not have whom to call Mom or Dad.

My Blog readers, Miss Juvenile is pleading ,asking and campaigning for your support to use this special season of  Christmas to visit the less privileged children,show them love,gifts and encouragement.Xmas is a time to show love and care.For us as an individual, government and celebrities,please visit them and show them love.Remember that no nation or person can exist if there is no child.we all were once a child.n

FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION

 

It may be Culture, It may be tradition in some  remote communities,but it is a total violence to the Girl-Child and women.

As I made my research and asked questions on this issue which has been bothering me, it baffles my imagination that up till today remote communities in some countries still practice this, all I could see was horrible horrible torture not treatment. To me , I call it Ritual Agony,woman worst nightmare and Painful Acient Ritual..

Research has shown that over 100 million of Girl-Child and Women around the world suffer this violence.but one will be tempted to ask, what is female genital mutilation? Female Genital Mutilation is the partial or total removal removal of genitalia of girls and young women for non-medical reason.This tradition is carried out by a woman with no medical training.Antiseptics and Anaesthetics are not used..This barbaric practice is usually carried out by using Razor blade,scissors,knives or pieces of glasses.However,Some countries like Kenya has banned the practice, in U.K it is illegal. but the fact is that, the practice is still prevalent in some remote communities.

Result  shows that Girls and young women who undergo this, always have the psychologial and traumatic experience which stays with  them for the rest of their lives.Other side effects includes:

-severe  torture , pains and shock.

-complications during pregnancy

-Abnormal periods

- infertility

-cyst and formation of scar tissues

-Inability to urinate

-Prolong bleeding

-Infections

-Damage to vulva tissues surrounding the entrance to vagina

-Pain during sex and lack of  pleasurable sensation.

 

Miss juvenile suggest that this barbaric  practice can be stopped totally, if we can report to the appropriate authorities when we see such. Educating and enlightening communities or individuals who practice this tradition, will go a long way to stop this practice.
